How I spend the rest of my day?

Model railway
From childhood, this has been my oldest and most passionate hobby. Today, I have nearly 20 locomotives and over 100 pieces of rolling stock. I am currently rebuilding my railway diorama and transitioning from analog DC control to DCC to operate multiple locomotives independently. The diorama will be based on a fictional border town between East and West Germany in the 1980s. Additionally, I need to build a diorama for my modern trains as well!

Arduino & robotics
It started with a course in gymnasium but later developed into so much more. I am eager to solve everyday problems by implementing technology and code. Whether the solutions are useful or not, they always provide valuable experience and expand my professional toolkit.

Neapolitan pizza.
During COVID, I really became a pizzaiolo. I got a gas-fired pizza oven and started making my own pizzas from scratch. These days, my friends and family keep asking when they’ll get to taste my sourdough starter pizza dough and homemade sauce, topped with only the highest quality ingredients.

Volunteer firefighter.
I joined my local fire department for training when I was 10 years old. Growing up in that environment made me a responsible and fearless individual, always knowing the right action to take no matter the situation.
-
Nature.
I'm a big nature person and love spending time in the woods. I've visited most of the national parks in Finland and climbed Saana fell. Walking in nature has always been a great way for me to relieve stress and unwind.
-
Photographing.
I've always had an eye for detail and a knack for capturing the perfect photograph. I can find the right angle and spot opportunities for great shots where others might not. Visit gallery to view some of my work!

Travelling
I've always been a traveller and enjoyed exploring new places and cultures. Some of my more exotic destinations include Iceland and Egypt. Whether I'm flying, taking the train, or just going on a road trip, I'm in my happy place.

Investing.
I want to achieve financial freedom and therefore have been aggressively allocating funds into my investment portfolio. Having started pre-covid I’ve yielded an average annual profit of 19% from the stock market and 126% from high-risk investments. My strategy focuses in finding assets with great upside potential and holding them, not trading. Buy low, sell high.

Computers
I have a strong inclination towards self-learning, as it often allows me to acquire new skills. This is particularly true for computer programs and content production. Rather than outsourcing the creation of a 3D avatar, I chose to learn the process myself. I downloaded DAZ Studio, familiarized myself with it, and produced my first rendered image, which you can see above. While it may not be elaborate, it marks the beginning of my journey.
In addition, I have gained experience using Sony Vegas and Adobe Photoshop to edit videos and photos. Please visit my gallery to view some of my work.
